My web site's "digital library" is expanding rapidly! Greg Paridon (who is primarily interested in the Benchoff - Shields Family -- Evlyn Ann Benchoff married John Henry Shields) sent me over a hundred Shields and allied families transcriptions and extracts from Gettysburg, PA newspapers (mainly The Gettysburg Compiler, The Gettysburg Times & The Star and Sentinel) which I have now put on the site.
These transcripts and extracts include births, birthdays, baptisms, deaths, obituaries, marriages, engagements, anniversaries, court news/notices, social news, political news, etc.
There are many surnames in these transcriptions, including: Davilla, Fox, Glatfelter, Hafer, McLaughlin, Meals, Meckley, Millard, Nicholson, Plank, Rosensteel, Shields, Snyder & Walter.

There is also a "Search" link at the top of each page on the site that you can use to search the entire site for names, places, etc.
I haven't tied my Shields family (Mecklenburg Co., NC) in with Greg's PA Shields line, but we both thought the records would be of interest to other Shields researchers. If you are related to this Shields family, please reply to this post & I'll let Greg know.
