Robert,

I'm not sure if you mean more specific about who is buried at Zion's or what exactly I'm looking for. Who was your wife descended from? I am descended from Philip Jacob Shellhammer. He had several sons, some of whom moved up into Luzerne and Columbia Counties.

Philip had a daughter, Elizabeth Barbara, married to George Cunfer of West Penn Twp. There is a very strong tradition in her descendants that she was part Indian. And I have a theory about that which you may also have read online.

I have been trying to contact descendants of her brothers (without any luck so far) to see if there is such a tradition in their families.

Patricia
