Any of these names sound familar?
Hi, my name is Jose Manuel Diaz and have maternal
family names Pabon-Rivera and from Ponce,PR. According
to my grandparents our ancestors came from the Canary
Islands. I would like to learn more about your search
and share some more onfo about my family. It seems
that my Great great grandfather Jazinte Pabon was a
wealthy land owner and and his son Manuel Pabon(GGrand
Father) had married Julia Rivera- Died 1966(GGrand mother) they
had several children Ada, Carlos, Ramon and several
more but cant remember there names. According to my
family Julia gave birth to a set of twin girls. One
died and the other was sold or given to a couple
heading off to the states. My family has also been
linked to Correa Coto (Circa 1950's)who was after Manuel Pabon. A
photo was publish in the local news paper. I have the
photo of my family but not the story. Anyway, from my
understanding the Pabon men had many children and
women. Julia was never accepted in the Pabon home and
she and her children had to enter through the back door. I
have another name to throw out there- Ramona sister to
Manuel Pabon. I also understand that Manuel worked for
the railroad and lived in Chicago before he became
sick and returned to Ramona and later died. My family
is more in the Rivera side and were the undesirable
family by the Pabon family. This is all stories I have
heard growing up. If any of this sounds familer please
