I'm looking for any info about Peter Papst, born about 1803, married to Nancy Fyckes (Fickes?), born about 1809. They were listed in the 1851 Census for Canada West Stormont Co.,Osnabruck p. 29, Dist 5, page 57. Their son:Henry Papst(b. 1834)-his son:Theodore Papst(b. 1860)-his son: Oscar Papst(b. 1883)changed spelling to "Papps" around WW I era (guess why?)- his son(my father): William G. Papps (b. 1925). One contact has suggested Peter was a child of Johan Adam, but I have not seen any documentation anywhere which would indicate who Peter's parents were. Any help appreciated.
