I have just stumbled across this website as I was seeing how many of us are around. I understand that my family are descended from one of the Pabst brothers that left Germany around the turn of the century (19th/20th). One brother apparently made his fortune in the states with the beer company, and my side of the family have settled near Oxford where we still live. There is a family bible in the attic of my father's house which traces the names back to the old country (I can't remember the names without checking but I will look when the opportunity arises). If anyone knows anything about the roots of the german family I would be most interested. Are there are typical Pabst traits or characteristics that you can share? Does anyone know what became of the brewery in the states and that arm of the family?
