Linda von PA,
Since I have had no direct communication with you, and your quiries have been spread over some time, I don't know if your questions have been answered. Gotha is located in east central Germany; province of Thuringia. It is a major administrative and military center, at least for records. Duken may have been missinterpreted. German letters K and B can be confusing; so Duken could be Duben, a small village East of Wittenberg,or it may be Bad Duken, a village of 8000+ lovated north of and between Leipzig and Wittenberg.
There still are many questions that I would like to ask of you, but the E-mail letter would be to long. It would be better to connect by slow mail. Do you have any pictures of the Raymond Pabst family?
After rereading the requirements for messages, it seems possible that my first message never went through the system.
So. my wife's father was Benjamin Frederich Pabst, a son of Raymond Frederich Pabst. Benjamin was born in Buffalo in 1886, and his mother was Christine "Jenny" Helbig. Her parents were Johannes and Fredericka Helbig, who emmigrated from Saxony on the ship "Vesta" in 1851. I have much more, but this letter is getting too long.
I am not sure that my first letter got to you. but I hope this one does.
Les von WI
