Paces in Mecklenburg Co. NC Cemetery -- Elmwood

Mecklenburg Co. NC - Charlotte
I got this is 2000 -- there could be more now

The following was acquired from the Elmwood Cemetery, Charlotte, NC,
relative to Paces buried there-- death date is given.

They are all PACES,
so I won't type that over and over.


A.A. - 16 MOS - 6-24-1909 - iLIO-COLITIS
Abner - 12-22-1900 - Struck by moving train (son of Young Pace of Mecklenburg Co. NC--Young was born in Guilford Co.)Abner's orphans went to live with uncle Augustus Pace in Rock Hill, SC probably
Jno.W. - 4-11-1917 - 32 years - acute edema of lungs
Lizzie - 16 mos 7-30-1892 - whooping cough
Lillie, Miss - 11-26-1927 - 34 years - brain lesion
*Lucinda Margaret Elisa - 12-7-1960 - 85 years - cerebral vascular accident
Minnie - 9-12-1891 - l yr - croup
Nancy, Mrs. 4-21-1886 - cancer of womb - 44 years (I think this is wife of Young Pace, nee Nancy Walls)
Nane Hulrie - 12-29-1919 - 79 years burned
Ananias - 8-19-1888 - 18 years - typhoid fever
Annie Vanderlip, Mrs.
*Augustus Emanuel - 11-18-1949 - 88 years - cardio vascular disease (son of Young Pace probably) He lived in Rock Hill SC for a while
Barbara Derracott - 3-31-1950 - 46 years
Charles C. - 6/5/1939 - 81 years - cor. occlusion (son of Young Pace)
Earl Reid (Jack) - 6-3-1953 - 55 years - cerebral hemorrhage
*Edgar Hampton - 2-5-1948 - 42 years - coronary thrombosis
Frank J. - 6-16-1973
Fred Augustus - 8-20-1951 - 55 years - carcinoma
Grace - 9-25-1902 - l yr - catarah
Hattie McQuay - 6-21-1949 - 76 years - carcinoma of Liver
Henry - 12-8-1896 0 55 years - pyo nephrosis
Ida, Mrs. 12-13-1908 - 40 years - pneumonia
James L. - 11-22-1933 - 67 years - pneumonia
*These 3 seems to be in the same plot -- BB, N1/2, 48 (I guess this
identifies the section of the cemetery)

There were also several infants, but parents' names not given

Some others may be the family of Young Pace that I don't recognize. The orphaned children of Abner Pace (d. 1900) were at least:
Eudie or U.D. --16 in 1930 census Mecklenburg Co.
Sherman--14 in 1930 census
William--19 in 1930 census
They lived with Sarah -- 39 (widow of Abner Pace who died in 1900--nee Sanders)
