Lois,

I've made some discoveries. John of Middlesex (our common ancestor) shows through
DNA testing that he is from a different haplogroup than Richard and John of Jamestown
(Darn). However, other discoveries prove almost as interesting.

Our John's wife...Elizabeth Newsome gives us 3 solid links to the Jamestown
colony. Here is the line that we have tracked:

Elizabeth

Parents:
William Newsome III
Anne Sheppard

William Newsome III's parents:
William Newsome II
Penelope Ramsey

Anne Sheppard's parents:
Robert Sheppard This is a Jamestown family.
Elizabeth Spencer (This Spencer family is the family of HRH Dianna Princess
of Wales) It is also a Jamestown family.

William Newsome II's parents:
William Newsome
Lucille Singleton
Penelope Ramsey's parents: There were Ramseys in the Jamestown Colony
but this line is undocumented at this point.
unknown
Robert Sheppard's parents:
Robert Shepherd
Elizabeth James
Elizabeth Spencer's parents:
William Spencer
Alice Lightfoot

Alice Lightfoot's father most likely John Lightfoot, a Jamestown
settler.

I have further back but time and space limits me here.

Rick E. Morrow
