A common but not universal practice of the time was to use the maiden name of a daughter in the will of the parents. This was done to avoid confusion due to multiple marriages of the daughters. There are several examples of this practice in wills among the Jamestown settlers. The mere absence of the use of a married last name does not exclude the possibility of that daughter being married.
Regardless, we are going back to re-check our documentary support. Will follow-up.
