I just recently discovered my Pace line because it starts in 1773 with Lucinda(Lucy) Pace who married Davis Burgess and lived on Burgess Creek in Henry County Va. (John Burgess has a really good file on Roots Web that has your Langston in it. Lucy was the daughter of John Pace and Elizabeth Nunn. John came from a large family of which he was the oldest child born 1751. Langston was the youngest born 1770. The parents were according to John's file William Pace born about 1724 in Middlesex County, Va. and died 1799 in Henry County, Va. His wife was Susannah West born in Essex County, Va. The first 4 of their children were born in Amelia County, Va. and the last 5 in Pittsylvania County, Va. The children he list are: John 1751, Newsome 1753, William 1756, Joel 1762, Susannah 1763, Milly 1764, Spencer 1766, Leisure 1767, Langston 1770. If you have trouble finding John Burgess file let me know. I believe this is your Langston. He takes the Pace line back a few more generations plus there is some records in his files that might be of interest.
