This traces five generations of Packs: Edna Mae Pack, b. 16 Nov 1918 in Chattanooga, Hamilton, Tennesse; Charley Preston Pack, b. July 22 1893 in Ringgold [Catoosa] Georgia; David F. Pack, b. June 1849 in Georgia, Albert Pack, b. 1816 in Tennessee Jeremiah Pack, b. 1787 (+/- some) in North Carolina [A good dozen people have Albert as one of Jeremiah's sons on RWWC; they may have all copied the same fact, and it may have been wrong. Albert did name one of his sons Jeremiah, and his biorth states look about right,] It started as a post on the Ancestry PACK board http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.pack/mb.ashx 7 Oct 2007, subj. "Pack/Dolly" from "tauntonclan" It continues on a post there from me titled Charles Presley (1894) > David F (1849) > Albert (1816) > Jerimiah !787 [sic] the "!787" should have been "1787", of course. I wrote some questions to Ms. Taunton after her first post, and again after I found Edna Mae, Charley's daughter, living with her grandparents in the 1930 census. ========================= Ms. Taunton wrote: From the little bit I know: Charlie Presley Pack married Dorothy Dolly. They had a child named Edna Mae Pack in Chattanooga, Tennesse on 16 Nov 1918. Edna ended up in Flint Michigan and married Ferndale "Smitty" Clifton Smith. He died in 1968 and she in 1982. and I talked to my mother-in-law and she said Dorothy did die and Charlie moved to Michigan and married a Leah. ========================= Everything from here down is in reverse chronological order. Some of it won't make sense until you read a later entry. =============================== SSDI: EDNA SMITH, b. 16 Nov 1918 d.
