Molly - I have Almira Packard as the daughter of Perez Packard and Mercy Thomas, and sister of my ancestor Mehitable Packard. According to my family's records, in 1840, Almira married Deacon Josiah Whipple who was born in Grafton, Massachusetts, in 1807. I have a copy of his newspaper obituary in which Almira is described as "a lady of rare endowments and deep spirituality. There were born to them three children of whom one daughter survives them.
