I am looking for help regarding the descendants of Zachariah / Zechariah PACKARD, died 1771, and Abigail DAVENPORT. Children of Zechariah and Abigail: 1. Elijah PACKARD, born abt. 1726 2. Abigail PACKARD, born abt. 1728 3. Nathaniel PACKARD, born abt. 1730 3. Nathaniel PACKARD, married (1) Sarah Snow, (2) Anna Stone, abt 1758. Children of Nathaniel & Sarah: 1. Zadock 2. Ichabod Children of Nathaniel and Anna: 1. David 2. Sarah 3. Zechariah, born abt. 1764? 4. Nathaniel, born abt. 1773? Has anyone researched these last two Packards -- Zechariah and Nathaniel? I believe Zechariah eventually moved to Portage Co., OH, where he is found in the 1850 census. Also, he is found in land records with wife Mariah. It is possible that my Nathaniel PACKARD (1790-Feb 1837) and his brother Thomas PACKARD (born abt. 1801) were the sons of Zechariah and Mariah (?) PACKARD. 1790 Census = Strafford, Orange Co., VT Males, 16 & up = 1 (bef. 1774) Zechariah Males, under 16 = 1 (aft. 1774) Joseph? Females = 2 Mariah & ? (Note: Zechariah's father, Nathaniel, lived in Lebanon, Grafton Co., NH, which is just slightly southeast of Strafford) 1800 Census = Pittstown, Rensselaer Co., NY (Zachariah Packahd) Males, of 26 & u. 45 = 1 (1756-1774) Zechariah Males, of 10 & u. 16 = 1 (1785-1790) Males, under 10 = 2 (1791-1800) Nathaniel Females, of 26 & u. 45 = 1 (1756-1774) Mariah Females, of 10 & u. 16 = 1 (1785-1790) Females, under 10 = 2 (1791-1800) Abigail* *Abigail Packard is from another online researcher. This is her info: born abt. 1793 Greenbush, Rensselaer Co., NY, m. 1817 to James Tinney/Tenney, Jr., born 1789 Franklin Co., MA; I include her because she is named after Zechariah's grandmother, and she names one of her daughters "Almira" which is the same name Nathaniel (1790) names his youngest daughter. I know, I know, this is a stretch.... 1810 Census = ? 1820 Census = Sheldon Twp., Genesee Co., NY (Zeckariah Packard) Males, of 45 & up = 1 (17??-1775) Zechariah Males, of 16 & u. 26 = 3 (1795-1804) Thomas Males, bet. 16 & 18 = 1 (1802-1804) Males, under 10 = 1 (1811-1820) Females, of 45 & up = 1 (17??-1775) Mariah Females, of 16 & u. 26 = 1 (1795-1804) NOTE: The two other females listed in the 1800 census female (1785-1790) and female (1791-1800) could have been married by 1820 (possibly one was Abigail, who was married in 1817). As for the males listed in the 1800 census, Nathaniel (1791-1800) is gone (living in Portage Co., OH), another son, Joseph? (1785-1790), could have left already, and the third (1791-1800) could be listed in the 1820 census next to Thomas (as well as another brother, born bet. 1802-1804). 1830 Census = Suffield Twp., Portage Co., OH (Zechariah Packard) Males, of 60 & u. 70 = 1 (1761-1770) Zechariah Males, of 20 & u. 30 = 1 (1801-1810) Females, of 60 & u. 70 = 1 (1761-1770) Mariah NOTE: Listed directly above is Thomas Packard (1801-1810), and directly below is Joseph Packer (1781-1790). 1840 Census = ? 1850 Census = Shalersville, Portage Co., OH (Zacheriah Packard) *Listed in County Infirmary* Zacheriah Packard, age 86 [born abt. 1764], NJ Census totals = (1761-1770) Zechariah, 1764 (1761-1770) Mariah (1785-1790) Joseph? (NOTE: Amos was another relation of Roxy's.) Nathaniel PACKARD's estate, Brimfield, 1837: Thomas PACKARD & the widow [Polly Minard] deline to take letters of administration. No heirs listed....
