This is mainly to Edward Packard of Lincoln, but all members of ALan's family as well. I met Alan in his home in Olathe over 10 years ago. I forget how I found about about him, but he invited me there to discuss Packard geneology and when I arrived with my wife, he and his wife were very cordial and he showed me all the file cabinets etc. in his basement and gave me thirteen 8 1/2 by 11" pages with the names and bios of 13 of my Packard ancestors going back to about 1633 - who they married, where, kids and other info. there was even a picture of a home in England where Samuel was born I think (I am @ work and don't have the material here). I was very happy to have met him, I made copies of each Packard ancestor's info and gave one to each of my six siblings. We appreciate very much the joy he has given us and the many other members of the Packard and related families over the years through his geneology work. What a great and good man. Since I live in Lincoln, I hope to meet Edward one of these days.

Mark Packard
