J W Packer was James Walter Packer. He was born in December, 1861. His brother, Charles William Packer, was my great grandfather. Charles died young, leaving behind three small children. His oldest son, Fay Packer, lived with James Walter for several years. Jim's wife was Alta Martha Childs. They had a daughter named Cecil. Jim died about 1949.
