Jakov:

Thanks again for your information. I checked out the sites you recommended, and found a few on my own, so I now know a little more about the Island of Pag.

Your idea of putting a little story together about the connection between the Island of Pag and the name Palc*ic*, sounds great. I’m sure that everyone involved here in the research of our name will appreciate the time and effort you will be putting into it—I know I will. We will all have to try to be patient while you work. ;-) I am particularly curious about how and why Rastinja Grbin got the nickname “Palac”, and exactly how it evolved from a nickname to the surname we are all familiar with (although I think maybe you already answered part of that in a previous posting). Also, at what point in time it began being used as a surname, and in what form. Maybe you will be able to answer those questions in your little story, if that information is available to you. Whatever you are able to find will certainly be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Best regards,
Daniel
