The Patrams ,Willsons and Pardues From the records there is certainly an indication that the Pardues and Patrams could have intermarried It is thought that JUdith Patram married Joseph Pardue Francis Patram married William Pardue Elizabeth Patram married John pardue Phebe Patram married Adams Pardue I descend from William and Francis Patram Pardue..their son named PATRAM Pardue ( likely after his mother's maiden name) married Elizabeth Basket and their son was Pleasant Pardue. Some records : 1) 1753 Chesterfield Co, Va Will of George Willson names daughter Judith Willson Patram ;also names grandson George Patram and a granddaughter Elizabeth Patram; both children of Francis and Judith Patram Judith Willson had married Francis Patram 2)1759 Will of Francis Patram names Sons, George ,Francis and Daniel Daughters: Phebe , Francis ,Judith and Elizabeth 3) Will of Joseph Pardue 1789 Warren Co ,NC Daughter Francis and son Francis Joseph married Judith Patram and Patram name of Francis is carried to the next generation, a son and a daughter 4) the brother of Joseph Pardue was William Pardue In 1764 John and Jane Tisdale sell land to John Clardy of Amelia CO ,Va on Winteromake Creek and on the corner of FRANCIS PATRAM's land Witnesses to this deed Francis Patram William Pardue John Pardue 5) 1763 The same three witnesses on a land transfer between John and Ann Cordle and Benjamin Clardy on Winteromake Creek 6) in 1792 John and Mary Clardy to William Boothe Clardy line on William Pardue's on Winteromake Creek These indentures place the Pardues with three sons WIlliam,Joseph and John next to the Patram family . Francis Patram having four daughters mentioned in his will: Phebe, Francis ,Judith and Elizabeth Patram 7) 1777 Francis and Mary Patram to Ben Clardy, land that belonged to the Tisdale family, adjoining John Willson 8)1760 Amelia Co,Va Deed Bk p476 John Tisdale and Jane has wife of Lunenburg to Francis Patram of Amelia Co Dated 24 May 1760 Consideration : 40 pounds 64 acres L/S Winticomake Creek being part of 400 acres patented to William Tisdale on 9 July 1737 ,adj Willson and said creek as it meaders with all houses etc. 9)John Pardue to Benjamin Clardy 1767 This Indenture made this tenth day of August in the year or our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven Between John Pardue of the Parish of Raleigh in the county of Amelia of the one part and Benjamin Clardy of the Parish and county aforesaid of the other part Witneseseth that the said John Pardue for & in consideration of the sum of sixty five pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Benjamin Clardy the receipt he the said John Pardue doth hereby acknowledge & have granted bargained sold aliened released and confirmed and by these present doth grant bargain sell alien release & confirm unto the said Benjamin Clardy his heirs & assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Amelia on the South side of Winticomaick Creek containing Two hundred acres and bounded as followeth To wit, Beginning at a corner black tack in Munfords line thence a long his line to a corner shrub white oak thence to a corner Spanish oak in Tisdales line thence along his line to a corner white oak in his line thence along the dividing line between John Purdue and William Perdue to the begining and is part of a Patent granted the said John Perdue for four hundred acres bearing date the fifth day of June one thousand seven hundred and forty six Together with all woods water and watercourses and the appurtenances there unto belonging unto the said Benjamin Clardy to the only use & behoof of him the said Benjamin Clardy his heirs and & assigns for ever and the said John Perdue & for himself and his heirs promises and agree to and with the said Benjamin Clardy that he the said John Perdue his heirs Execr adminr shall and will warrant and for ever defend the said land and premises unto the said Benjamin Clardy his heirs and assigns for ever against all and every person and persons whatsoever that shall lay any claim or demand thereto or to any part thereof In Witness whereof he the said John Perdue hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written In Presence of us John Avary John Pardue [seal] Michael Clardy Notify Administrator about this message?
