I received a message several days ago in response to a posting that I made some four years ago concerning the questioning of birthplace of George and Henry Pattillo (two "t's") and got transferred to the Patillo (one "t") Genforum. There was one "small correction" made to that Posting and I would like to make one additional one: The Genforum should be indexted under Pattillo with two "t's). If you seach for Pattillo under one "t" it does not come up. If possible the Pattillo Genforum should be indexed under both spellings,. Regards... John Pattillo (with two "t's) and a descendent of the same Henry Patillo (with one "t"). P.S. I agree with the Getleman who questioned the birthplace as being at Balmaric near Dundee. I have done extensive (bother remote (letters and and actual visits on the ground) research and believe that they were born in the Blairgowrie, Forfar area which is southwest of Dundee in Pethshire. I tried to follow up the Dundee references, including going to the supposed castle (manor house) at Balmaric, nr. Dundee and the Pattillo Crest that was supposed to be on the ruins of the castle (manor house)does not exist. Notify Administrator about this message?
