Canadian Military Heritage Project at http://www.rootsweb.com/~canmil/ is free.
You have posted combinations from my site (CMHP) and Ancestry and it looks like Genealogy.com on this forum. You not only mixed them all up, you really shouldn't be copying and pasting websites here without permission.
I can only repeat that if you want to see the free information on CHMP you need to stay ON that site. You don't have to leave or go to Ancestry.com to look for a name (as you said below)
There is an Ancestry search box there, and if you choose to use it, you will of course be searching Ancestry's site, not CHMP.
But you don't have to use it, that is your choice. If you don't want to go to Ancestry or another site, don't click on those offsite links.
It's really that simple!
CMHP has lots of free databases. To use them just stay on the site. Remember, if the URL (in your browser window at the top) doesn't start with http://www.rootsweb.com/~canmil/ then you are NOT on CMHP anymore.
