Hi Sue,
My Payette dit St. Amour ancestors came from Repentigny Quebec,back toPierre Payet dit St. Amour who was born in Libourne, Gascogne
(Gironde) France and married in1671-11-23 in Montreal PQ.
I'm sorry but I only have a record of a direct line and there is no Samuel St. Amour
and they apparently dropped the St. Amour in the 1700's. My greatgrandfather Edouard Payette travelled to St. Charles Manitoba where he married a Marie Proulx in 1881-09-06
