This same family is found in the 1860 Mercer County, Illinois (IL) census. Dyanthia is listed as Diantha. George and Elizabeth are still living. Elizabeth is still listed as being born in Kentucky. Children listed in 1860 include: William b. abt 1839, Diantha b. abt 1846, Lafayette b. abt 1852, Eliza b. abt 1855, and Douglas b. abt 1858. On the previous page of the same census we find James M. Peckinpaugh b. abt 1826 IN married to Mary (last name unknown) b. abt 1826 Ohio ... with the following children: Horton b. abt 1847 IL, William b. abt 1849 IL, Tabitha b. abt 1852 IL, Sarah E. b. abt 1854 IL, Solomon / Soliman A. b. abt 1856 IL and Rachel A. b. abt 1858 IL. Also living with the family is another Rachel Peckinpaugh b. abt 1802 KY. Maybe Mom to James and George?
