Dan I am looking for the Wesley Pegg who I am told was married to Nancy Allison. Nancy was the mother of Arvel Pegg, the subject of my search. Arvel was my cousin's grandfather. I am doing this for her. My references appear at the end. Three Wesley Pegg's appear in the 1880 census. One of them is the son of James T. and Drucilla Pegg. I have since learned he is not the one I am looking for, because he appears in later census reports married to a lady named Elizabeth. Another, the son of Amas Pegg of Buncombe Co NC, is not the one, because he appears in a later census married to a lady named Matilda. The other, son of Sophrona Pegg, would have been 13 years old when my relative was born, so he also is not likely the one. I also found a Wesley Pegg in the 1891 Canadian Census, but he was too young. Possibly the Wesley I am looking for was living in a family with a different last name and the census reported him with their name. 1900 USC Warren Co TN, District 8, ED 3, sheet 9 Allison, John, head, mw, 1844, 56, married 28 years, TN TN NC (wife & 8 children) Pegg, Nannie, sister, wf, Mar 1851, 49, divorced, 4 children, 4 living, TN TN NC Norman, nephew, wm, Mar 1885, 15, s, TN TN TN 1900 U.S. Census, 10th District, Warren Co TN, page 144b, HH 31/31 Turner, Issac, head, w, m, Dec 1881, age 18, married, TN TN TN Pearl, wife, w, f, Feb 1884, age 16, married, TN TN TN Pegg, Arvel, lodger, w, m, Jan 1889, age 10, single, TN TN TN The Warren Co TN Cemetery book #3 with annotations reports that Wesley and Nancy Allison Pegg were the parents of Arvel Pegg. My cousin thinks her grandfather's family came from Canada. I am working with the possibility that Norman and Pearl are Arvels siblings, and that Wesley Pegg would have been born ca 1850. They would have been married ca 1881. Tough search with twenty years missing in the census. Any help you can give me will be appreciated. Notify Administrator about this message?
