I'm looking for information on whether someone's name should be Pel(l)s or Pultz. A child named Johannes was christened at Gilead Lutheran Ch. in Brunswick, Renssalaer Co., NY, on 3 May 1795. His parents are listed as Henrich and Margaretha Boltz. After years of research, I thought I had documented all Boltz/Pultz of New York during that period, but I have never before come across a Henrich. Should he be Henrich Pels, of which there were several in the Hudson Valley at that time?
