Hi Wayne,

I have some references which may be of interest.
My Father was born in Wernshausen and there are a series
of relatives of mine with the last names Pfaffe and Pfaff.
There was a:
Ludwig Barthel Pfaff, Millar who was known to be blond, health with blue eyes. Born Jul 26, 1867, married on Jul 7 1985 in Breitungen. He died in May 1945 in france. Apparently he was on his way home after peace was declared, but someone in the area decided to still fire some of ordinance which was left loaded in equipment which inadvertently killed him as he and others in his company were headed back to Germany. His wife's name was Lisette Margarethe Boermer, born Sept 24, 1870 in Frauenbreitung, she died on Dec 7, 1934.
His Father was:
Karl Wilhelm Pfaff who was a Miller, born Jun 25, 1830 married on Oct 28, 1866 to Eva Elisabeth Krech.
His Father was:
Johan Barthel Pfaff, Head Miller married to Katharina Margarethe Fisher. No dates for him.
