I am not sure if this helps or not...because I am so clueless. I have seen the 1-P Phips and the 2-P Phipps and the Fips and the Fipps. It appears several Longs and Phipps families left NC (together?) and were in Indiana by 1830.

It appears a daughter of Jesse Long married a man called Shack/Shock Phipps and they were living in Owen Co., IN in the 1840s.

I've tried every one from "Jaques to Shadrack" Phipps with no luck.
