I am so thankful to see the family tree of the Phipps family on the internet. I am searching for the Parents, dates of birth, and location of both of their parents--James Emmitt Phipps and Alpha Ann Hinkle Phipps.
My paternal grandmother was Elsie Odell Phipps Bowden and my son Daniel and I are tracing our family tree. He is now 13.
My paternal grandfather was William Curtis Bowden. Grandaddy and Mima are buried in Alice, Texas and my father, Wayland C. Bowden is laid to rest next to them.
