Steve, I have found enough rumors to tell me that my Phipps familys are possible decendents of the Ben Phipps in Grayson County, VA. I belive that Ben came from Rowan County, NC. He had a brother Isiah who remained in Rowan County until about 1830. Records show that the counties mentioned as Ben and his brothers birth place in NC were at the time Rowan County. If any of your records can prove or disprove any or all of this please let me know. I have been stuck on this for 2+ years.
