I don't know enough about DNA to know whether the dissimilarity in results indicates that there's no possibility of a connection farther back in time. And, of course, if there was an adoption at some point, that could throw off the DNA entirely. I've noticed that an awful lot of Internet genealogy consists of nothing more than copying and recopying what others have written, without any sources noted except to perhaps cite someone else's FTM file. There's a huge amount of info on my ancestors all over the Internet that I know to be completely erroneous, and I suppose it's still being recopied. I'm getting curious about this Solomon Phipps. I might see if I can find anything about the John and Elizabeth (Neighbours) Phipps who are alleged to be his parents. I'm not sure where to go next with regard to that or anything else, however. I think for me it might be time to get more into unpublished PA Quaker records (if there are any) in Philadelphia Co., Delaware Co., and Chester Co. rather than continue to look through published sources. Don't give up! I'm sure there must be sources somewhere that haven't been consulted, and new digitized sources are opening up all the time. Notify Administrator about this message?
