Regarding your gg grandmother's family. I, too, am new to this research. My mother's name was Elaine Cyril Pickrell. Her father was Carl Hogan Pickrell. Both were born in Seattle, WA. My great-grandfather was Walter Pickrell. This is where I run into the "brick wall". I believe he came to Seattle sometime around 1900 from the Ohio, Indiana area. I know he was born between 1874-1877. He could be one of the 2 sons you are looking for. I will let you know if I can find anything more on this end of the country.
