Hi Cynthia,
My cousin replied to my e-mail and says she has not heard from John Scott this year.
What birth, marriage and death dates do you have for Annie Corbin? I shall want to investigate Ancestry as well to see what you see.
You having said that Daniel could be an offspring of one of Ebeneezer's children because of the death date you have for Annie made me look at an old electronic stand alone Pickett tree I had from who knows where and when. Believe it or not it shows Daniel as being a son of Parnal Pickett, an offspring of Ebeneezer. This tree was so sparce, and I was not really interested at the time, that I haven't looked at it in years. In John Scott's info it shows Parnal Pickett as born in 1758, which is a little young, age 13, to be a father of Daniel.
That being said, Ebeneezer would have only been 54, not completely out of the question, at Daniel's birth.
My cousin said she has photocopies of some pages from a family bible of David & Sarah (Pickett) Bates that was online for sale a number of years ago that appear to have been written by Daniel. Sarah was the second child of Daniel and Lavina (Thurston). She says there is some information of Daniel and Annie, showing there were 7, not 5, children. Apparently there were two daughters first, one died at birth and the other at one year.
I have asked her to sent these copies to me.
The Thomas Ebeneezer Pickett you mention, is the line I come from.
Hopefully we can get to the bottom of some of these questions soon.
By the way, my e-mail is shown correctly. If you can get it to work for you, then I can send you what my cousin sends me, plus a text of what I have if you are interested.
Thanks.
