On one of my cemetery "jaunts", I found this elaborate headstone at Riverview Cemetery & since it was so unusual & pretty, I took a photo of it. The inscription on the front of the headstone is:

*Christopher Columbus
1867 -- 1921
His Wife
*Nancy Margaret Thacker
1874 -- 1923
His Children
Bessie Waller Lacey
1896 -- 1984
Harvey Joseph
1898 -- 1979
*Clarice Lilly
1900 -- 1942
*Elmer Thomas
1904 -- 1946
Ruth Ann Dodson
1905 -- 1948
William Henry
1909 -- 1980
1912 -- 1923
*Blanche -- Infant

*Interred Here

On the reverse side, the inscription is:

Family Lineage

JOHN (1 of 6 Children)
Norwich, England 1644 -- Henrico Co. VA 1698
JOSEPH (3 of 3)
Henrico Co. VA
RICHARD (6 of 8)
Goochland Co. VA
RICHARD (1 of 2)
Goochland Co. VA
RICHARD (5 of 10)
Albemarle Co. VA
JOSEPH (3 of 12)
Albemarle Co. VA
Albemarle Co. VA

I have pictures of this headstone (both sides) on my web site at:

(PS --I'm not related to the Pleasants family, just found this stone interesting & took a photo of it)
