Am interested in name Poile. My maiden name was Poiles. I am sure the "s" was an addition. My grandfather was William Lascassas Poiles. He was born 1858 to Moses M. Piles and Rebecca Hile? We were told the name was french, too. But since name was spelled at times "Piles" it is very difficult to figure which is correct. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. Shirl
