You may be interested to know that there is a village called POYLE just outside London in England, if you have ever flown to Heathrow Airport you probably flow over it. From maps there would also appear to be a POYLE MANOR here.

Tehre is also a village in Oxfordshire called HAMPTON POYLE, the church there as a Tomb dating back to the 11th Century of a Sir POYLE. In the same village is also a house called POYLE COURT.

I have never been able to make the French connection. I know the original spelling of my name is POYLE (POYL).
