Tom,we are related!! My great-great grandfather is the same Johann
Gustav Porath from Wayne County, MI. His son, Herman Wilhelm Julian Porath is my great-grandfather, his son John Porath my grandfather, and my father, Herman John Porath. I have our entire family tree back to Johann, but have nothing on them in Germany. You say they are from Pomerania, where exactly is that. Who are your father and mother, grandparents, etc.?
