I believe that the parents of William Alfred Ports (Aug 1865- 1936) were William Francis Ports (1832-1870) and Emma C. Hubbard (1840 - Apr 24, 1871). I show William Francis Ports married Emma C. Hubbard on July 28, 1860. Then I show that Emma C. Ports was living with three children (no husband) in the 1870 Maryland census. The three children were: Pauline (age 9), William A. (age 6) and Jola (age 3).

Please let me know if you have different information, and, if so, the source of the information.

How do you tie into the Ports clan? Are you also descended from William Alfred Ports?

Best regards,
