Hi guys: I finally got my Prims straight. The "Van Buren" Prim was actually Martin V. Prim who married Amanda Clay. Thanks to Pat V., I now have him and Amanda on several censuses. Note: There are some age discrepancies, believed to be the result of fear of the draft! Martin appears in the Johnson County 1900 census b. Oct 1845, age 53. Born in Tenn, dad born in S.C., mom born in N.C. Children: Thomas b. 1883, Nancy b. 1885, William b. 1887, Theodore b. 1888, Alice b. 1890 and Weaver b. 1892. In the Johnson County 1870 census, he is in the household of Alcy, 50 yrs old, b. in SC. Also there is James 30, Martin 27, Jasper 17, Frances 24 and Nancy 16. In the Independence Co., Ark census of 1860, he is listed at age 18 along with Malan 49, Alsy 48, James L., 20, Francis 15, Sarah, John H. 10, Jasper A. 8 and Nancy 7. In the Bradford TN 1850 census he is in the household of Malan Prim 34. Alsy 37, George 16, Mary 15, Andrew 13, William 11, James 9, Martin 8, female (can't read name) 7, Francis 6, Sarah 4 and John 1. If any of this rings a bell let me know. I don't think this family has been researched. Notify Administrator about this message?
