Hello Ken,

Here is what I have. Protzmann is the orginal spelling of the name. They come from Wittgenborn, Germany. Two brothers came to America one in 1750 and not sure when Lorentz came, I believe it was before.

The Protzman name has gone through some changes.

Protzmann, Protzman, Prottsman, Protsman, Pretzman, Prutzman, Brotzman, Brutzman and maybe a couple more. But all are related to these two brothers. Some Protzmans came from Holland, some from Russia. All are related to the Wittgenborn Protzmanns.
