I am looking for the Joseph Raab family who were in Farmers Creek, Jackson CO IA. I believe they later moved to Clinton OR Clinton overtook them!
The 1900 census lists:
Joseph Raab b 1852 (Canada)
Miva (wife) b 1851 Penn
Ernest (son) b 1885
Bessie (D) b 1888
Alice (d) b 1889
Clara (d) b 1892
Robert (s) b 1894
The next household is Joseph's father & presumably step-mother
Anthony Robb (sic) b 1826 Germany
Sarah (wife) b 1840 Ohio
In 1900 they had been married 14 yrs
Also show in Farmers Creek
Walter Raab b1874 Iowa
Ruth (wife) b 1879 Iowa
Harold (son) b 1898
Harold & Ruth had been married 6 yrs in 1900
Not sure of Walter's relationship but think he may also be Anthony's son but
lists his parents both being born in Penn - could be a census mistake.
By 1910, Anthony, Sarah & grandaughter Alice were in Shawnee OK.
Can anyone make a connection?
