Titus and Lucy Fletcher Kellogg lived in NY and Iowa. They did not have a son named John and none of the sons they did have rsd in Texas. Two had no children and the 3rd was a physician and rsd in Minn, Ohio and Iowa and srved as a surgeon in the CW. I found no John Benjamin tho' there is a John B. but he is not the one in Texas. I have never been able to id the John Kellogg who d at The Alamo. I know if someone in his line knew of him it would be well publicized. There are way too many "John" to look up. However, I did look up all Titus' and none had a son John who went to TX. The info I give you is from the 1906 pub "The Kelloggs in the Old World and the New World." I have found over the years that there are many Kelloggs born and raised in the midwest that are not listed in the 1906 book. Likely because in the late 1800s they had become disconected from relatives being canvassed for family information. Len
