This is the write up from my Haese family book. I'm a relative of the Rabenhorsts that ended up in Wisconsin
William Johann Rabenhorst was born the Pomerania, Germany and was one of the first Lutheran sttlers in cooperstown in 1854. He was a trustee at the organization of the church in 1859. there is no record of how many of his faily came to america with him. the 1870 census for Maitowoc County lists a Fredericks, age 60 born in Pomerania, Germany living with him and his wife. There is one Rabenhorst grave in the Gibson, Wisconsin cemetery August J G 1819-1873 but no more record of his is found.
This Rabenhorst married a Louise Haese, also from Pomerania and had several children. It is possible that those of you that posted here are related to me. I can't find the connection in my book though.
