Hi there. I am a 6th generation descendant from Jacob Raber. My father is Benjamin B. and my grandfather Benjamin A. I know Jacob Raber (married to Catherine Egly) immigrated to the US in 1837. Both born in Germany; Jacob -January 23, 1794, -Catherine February 1, 1800. Does any one know how I might trace Jacob Raber's ancestors prior to 1794? I don't speak or read German and would be very interested in my family history from earlier.
