Camie, There were two branches of the Rabon/Raybon/Rabun/Rabourn (different spelling variations in the records) who moved from Alabama to Montgomery Co., Texas. The name of William Jasper is used in this family. I think it likely that the William Jasper you are searching for is the son of Richard Rabun/Raybon and Martha Sheffield. But the year of his birth is off just a bit. I read the 1870 Census to show he was age 10 at that time, which would make him b. 1860. But perhaps the census was in error or misread due to poor handwriting. But the fact that he was b. in Alabama and came to Montgomery Co., TX at that time sure makes me think he is a very likely candidate.
If you think this could be a match for your William Jasper, I would be glad to exchange data with you.
