My Rayburns were in Grant Parish, LA, not far from Bienville. While doing research on my line, I found the following census, with the Sherrod Raborn I beleive you are refering to:
------------------------
copied from my notes...

[bjw: my research on 1850 Census, Bienville Parish, Louisiana, family #234, page#?A shows]:

234-234
RABORN, Sherrod 39 M Miss

Sarah 41 F Ga

Permelia 17 F Miss

Leatha A. 15 F Miss

Angeline 14 F Miss

Jesse 13 M Miss

James 11 M Miss

Emily 9 F Miss

Nancy 7 F La

Columbus 5 M La

Henry 2 M La

Hope that helps some...
------------------------

This is my direct line from Grant Parish. They were from MS also. Marshal's parents were John and Amey (not Emma as listed below, mispronounce?) and had sibling brothers John, Berry and Levi. This family was supposedly large, with Amey having 11 children. Some may have migrated to Oklahoma, per my grandmother.

[bjw: my research on 1900 Census, 5th Ward, Grant Parish, Louisiana, family #131, page#8A shows]:

131 - 131

Raborn Marshal Head W M Jan 1875 25 Married 4/12yr Miss Miss Miss
------ Ellen J. Wife W F Feb 1884 16 Married 4/12yr La La La
------ Emma Mother W F Mar 1832 68 Widowed 11children 6living Miss Miss Miss

If anyone recognizes it or has info, please advise.
