I am looking for information on the ancestry of John and Mary Rabtoy. They are my gggrandparents. John and Mary his wife were both born in Canada in 1840 and 1848 respectively, according to the 1880 census records of Braintree Vermont. They had 10 children that I know of; Joseph, George, Eddie, Johnnie, Hattie, Lizzie, Josie, Sophia, Edna and Frank. Frank was my great grandfather. I would really appreciate any information on where John and Mary came from in Canada. The census records did say that they were French Canadian. Mary's maiden name would be helpful too. I wasn't sure if the spelling of Frank's last name may have been changed when he moved to the United States.
