Hi!
I have found information on Elizabeth R. Rackerby, daughter of John Hancock and Georgiana Dudley/Rackerby. According to her death certificate she was born December 12, 1830 in Kentucky to Hohn H. Rackerby b. VA and Georgiana Dudley b. KY. She died February 7th, 1912 in St. Louis, MO at 81 yrs 2 mos and 27 days.
She married Pascal Fortune Chartrand. Their first daughter (Anna D. Chartrand)was born in 1858 in Wisconsin and second daughter (Willie M. Chartrand) was born abt 1860 in Iowa. This fits with the travels of John Hancock and Georgina from KY to WI to IA and finally John H and Georgiana made there way to Pierse City, Missouri and lived out the rest of their lives.
Pascal was an Engineer on a boat, he was born June 25, 1833, in Carondelet, St. Louis Co., Mo. I assume he went up and down the Mighty Mississippi and that's how he met and married Elizabeth in Wisconsin.
Anna Chartrand married Thomas H Whitehill is St. Louis, MO they had 3 children only 2 lived to be adults.
I haven't found who Willie married or lived - but she died between 1900 and 1910 census.
This really tickled me to death to find the information on Elizabeth and be able to share it with all of the Rackery cousins and researchers.
