They were married in 1803 in Mecklenburg and then went to TN. The Marshall Co. Historical Quarterly, Vol. XV, Winter 1984/5 No. IV shows plat maps of the POSSUM TROT (officially LUNA) area which includes a grant from William COOK to his son William B. COOK. This is dated 16 Apr 1832. On the map is shown one lot of William, one of William B. and also Cook's Mill. Buckner RAINEY was surety for the wedding of Frances. I am descended from William and Frances Rainey Cook through their daughter Mary who married George Washington MCBRIDE. Notify Administrator about this message?
