Hello, you are my very first ever internet response. I do not have a John in my family in 1829, that I know of. But have you tried a site called "the Oklahoma Raineys"? It has information on many more areas than Oklahoma and is where I found some of my information. My mom's maiden name is Rainey so you sound like family to me. Good Luck.
