Looking for ancestors of Judge Claiborne W. Ramay.
His parents are Clayborne Ramy and Lucinda Foster who lived in McMinn County, TN. There were several spellings of the name, but this is the one in the 1880 Census, Dist 3, McMinn Tennessee. There are several children listed, Claiborne being one. My grandfather is listed as William Ramy(full name James William, later spelled Ramay)A source informed me that Clayborne's parents are Butler and FNU Cunningham. Beyond that I have no knowledge.
I have extensive family history of James William Ramay, which I will share.
