On Saturday May 12th, I attended an open house at the Laura Fitzhugh Ratcliffe (Hanna) house (aka Merrybrook and Brookside).
This house was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places.
If you aren't aware, Laura was a Confederate Spy during the Civil War. The house is located near Herndon Virginia.
They are looking for support to maintain the property in hopes that it will be turned over to the Fairfax County Park Authority in the coming years.
