Hello,
Although I know nothing of the RAVER genealogy, I recently found out that my Father's Y DNA matched to this surname on 18 markers. That is pretty good odds that somewhere in our ancient past we share a common ancestor.
My family appears to have started out in the Scandanavian countries of Denmark and Norway and being of the Viking haplogroup (if you are at all familiar with any of the Y DNA testing that's been going on...the "I" haps. are supposedly from the Vikings and this particular Haplogroup is Only found in Northwestern Europe).
At any rate...my family our name was originally spelled MUDIE came from the area of Scotland known as Angus-shire mostly from Dundee and Montrose.
A quick search of the IGI records show several RAVER's in Aberdeen-shire...only 2 shire's north of Angus.
This is pretty close to be discounted I believe and that may be where our Ancient family history is located.
Just thought I'd post this in case you are the one we matched to because I noticed your mention of the name Frederick and PA. These were also listed on the person's sheet that we matched 18 markers to.
